Leadership Support
We use volunteers to build the professional capacity of Early Childhood programs, both licensed centers and home care providers. We call these individuals Volunteer Business Advisors (VBAs).
Our VBAs possess a wide variety of skills and experiences that we match with specific needs in areas that include human resources, legal, finance, construction, strategic planning, information technology, business planning/modeling, accounting, and more.
We use our EC training program to ensure our volunteers achieve success while working in the Early Childhood field.
Offering a Wide Variety of Expertise to ECE Centers
We're recruiting Volunteer Business Advisors (individuals 50+ with relevant existing business experience) to assist understaffed Early Childhood centers who are in need of business operations assistance, in areas such as:
- Operational Planning
- HR & Staff Management
- Fiscal Management
- Community & Family Engagement
ECSC Volunteer Business Advisors (VBA) VBA’s complete ECE Coursework:
- Orientation to Learning (1 hour) Tech and Reflective Practice
- 6 Hours Understanding Rules and Regulations in ECE
- 3 Hours Cultural Sensitivity and Responsiveness in ECE
Once a match is made between a VBA and a site Director or Home Provider, they are free to set the agenda and meeting schedule according to their needs. ECSC provides monthly Reflection Gathering for Corps members to remain current in the ever changing ECE landscape.
